Terms & Conditions
London Elite Exams strictly adheres to JCQ regulations and UK law to ensure a secure, transparent, and fair examination environment for all candidates.
Last reviewed: 3 October 2026
1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern every examination entry service provided by London Elite Exams ("we", "us", "our") to the person who books it ("you"). Where a booking is made for a candidate under 18, "you" means the parent or legal guardian who makes the booking, who accepts these Terms on the candidate's behalf and is responsible for the candidate's compliance with them.
You accept these Terms when you submit a booking through londoneliteexams.co.uk, by email or by telephone, and again through the declarations you confirm at checkout. The following documents form part of these Terms and should be read with them: our Refund & Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy, Safeguarding Policy and Cookie Policy. If there is any conflict, the Refund & Cancellation Policy prevails on refunds and these Terms prevail on everything else.
London Elite Exams trades from Office 2070, 60 Tottenham Court Road, Fitzrovia, London, W1T 2EW. Questions about these Terms can be sent to info@londoneliteexams.co.uk or by post to that address.
2. Who We Are and What We Provide
London Elite Exams is an independent examination entry service for private candidates. We arrange your entry with the relevant awarding body (AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, Cambridge International, WJEC Eduqas, or the professional body concerned) and secure you a seat at an independent, JCQ-registered partner examination centre in London. We are not an awarding body and we do not ourselves operate an examination centre.
Our service to you consists of:
- checking your booking details and documents before entry, to the standard of a reasonable entries administrator;
- submitting your entry to the awarding body through the partner centre and paying the entry fee on your behalf;
- confirming the venue and issuing your Statement of Entry and centre instructions;
- relaying results, arranging certificate collection or postage, and handling post-results requests you authorise;
- support by email, telephone and WhatsApp during our published hours.
The examination itself — its timetable, question papers, invigilation, marking, grading, results and certificates — is delivered by the awarding body and the partner centre under JCQ regulations. We cannot alter their rules, timetables or decisions, and we do not provide tuition, predict or guarantee grades, or guarantee that a particular partner centre will host your examination. Where a partner centre becomes unavailable, we will place you at another partner centre in London and tell you as soon as we know.
3. Making a Booking
- Candidates aged 18 or over book for themselves. For a candidate under 18 the booking must be made by a parent or legal guardian, who remains our point of contact.
- You must give complete and accurate information: the candidate's full legal name exactly as it appears on the photographic identification they will bring on the day, date of birth, any existing Unique Candidate Identifier (UCI) or Unique Learner Number (ULN), the previous centre where relevant, and the correct awarding body, specification code, tier and options for every subject.
- The name entered is the name that will appear on the certificate. Awarding bodies will not change a certificate name afterwards except to correct a clerical error against original identification, and a fee applies to any amendment we make after submission.
- Choosing the right specification, tier and options is your responsibility. We check what you enter and will query anything that looks wrong, but we cannot know your course of study and are not liable for an entry that matches the details you supplied.
- A booking becomes a binding contract when we have received payment in full (or the first instalment of an agreed plan) and issued a booking confirmation by email. Until then no seat is reserved and no entry is made.
- We may decline or cancel a booking before the entry is submitted — for example where the deadline has passed, no partner centre can accommodate the request, the required documents are not provided, or the information given is inaccurate. In that case we refund in full any amount you have paid for the affected entry.
4. Fees and Payment
- Fees are those published on our fees page and shown in the booking form at the time you book. Each fee comprises the awarding body's entry fee, the partner centre's seat fee and our booking and support fee, and depends on the entry window in force on the date we receive your payment: standard, late or higher late.
- Fees are payable in full by bank transfer unless we have agreed an instalment plan in writing. Your entry is submitted only once cleared funds have been received; the risk of a deadline passing while payment is outstanding rests with you. If a higher entry window applies when payment arrives, the difference becomes payable before the entry is made.
- Under an instalment plan, every instalment must be paid by the agreed date. If an instalment is missed we may withhold the entry, Statement of Entry, results or certificate until the balance is settled, and the booking may lapse at the applicable deadline.
- Promotional codes and referral credits apply only as described in the offer, cannot be combined unless stated, have no cash value and may be withdrawn if obtained or used in breach of the offer's terms.
- Prices for a future series may change; the price confirmed in your booking is fixed once paid.
5. Entry Deadlines, Amendments and Withdrawals
- Each awarding body sets a standard entry deadline, a late entry window and a higher-late window for every series, after which entries close. The dates in force are published on our fees and deadlines pages. These are the awarding bodies' dates, not ours; we cannot extend them.
- Amendments after submission (subject, tier, option, personal details) are possible only while the awarding body's amendment window is open, incur the administrative fee stated in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and may attract a late fee from the awarding body.
- Withdrawals and refunds are governed entirely by the Refund & Cancellation Policy. In summary: a written withdrawal before the standard entry deadline is refunded less a per-paper administration fee; after that deadline, and for every late, higher-late or November series entry, fees are non-refundable.
- Timetable clashes: you must check the awarding bodies' published timetables for clashes before booking. Where two papers clash, JCQ rules allow the centre to re-sequence them on the same day under supervision, but overnight supervision is not always available at partner centres and may carry an additional centre fee. We will tell you what is possible before your entry is confirmed.
6. Documents, Identification and the Statement of Entry
- Before your entry is submitted you must upload the documents requested in the booking form, including a clear copy of the photographic identification the candidate will bring on exam day. Entries cannot be submitted without them.
- Acceptable photographic identification is a current, valid passport or UK photocard driving licence in the candidate's name. If the candidate holds neither, contact us before booking: another form of official photographic identification may be accepted if agreed with us and the partner centre in writing before the entry is submitted. Biometric Residence Permits ceased to be issued and expired on 31 December 2024 and should not be relied upon.
- The identification presented on the day must be the same document, or the same type of document, as the one you uploaded, and the name must match the entry exactly.
- We issue a Statement of Entry once the awarding body has confirmed the entry. You must check every subject, specification code, tier, option and the spelling of the candidate's name and date of birth, and report any error to us in writing within 5 working days of receiving it. Errors reported after that point are treated as amendment requests and may be impossible or chargeable depending on the awarding body's windows.
7. Access Arrangements and Special Consideration
- Access arrangements (for example extra time, a reader, a scribe, rest breaks or a separate room) are approved by the partner centre and, where required, the awarding body under JCQ regulations. They must be requested when you book, supported by the evidence JCQ requires — such as a current Form 8 assessment, an EHCP, or medical evidence — and applied for before the JCQ deadline for the series.
- We will submit a complete application and advise you on evidence, but the decision rests with the centre and the awarding body. We cannot guarantee approval, and a fee paid for an access-arrangement application is not refunded if it is declined.
- Special Consideration for illness or other adverse circumstances at the time of the examination is applied for through the centre under JCQ criteria, as set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. The awarding body alone decides whether it is granted and what adjustment, if any, is made.
8. Practical Endorsements, Non-Exam Assessment, Coursework and Speaking Tests
- Science practical endorsements (CPAC), non-exam assessment, coursework and language speaking tests are available only for the subjects, boards and partner centres we list, and must be booked as part of your entry. They are scheduled by the partner centre on fixed dates that you must attend.
- Where a candidate already holds a practical endorsement, coursework mark or speaking test result that the awarding body permits to be carried forward, you must tell us at booking and supply the previous centre number and UCI so that the carry-forward can be requested. We cannot carry forward components the awarding body does not permit.
- Candidates who miss a scheduled practical, assessment or speaking session, or who do not submit coursework by the centre's date, will receive no mark for that component, and the fee is not refundable.
9. Examination Day and Candidate Conduct
- Candidates must arrive at the partner centre at least 30 minutes before the published start time, with their photographic identification and Statement of Entry, and follow the centre's instructions and the JCQ Information for Candidates notices.
- Late arrival is governed by the JCQ Instructions for Conducting Examinations. A candidate who arrives after the start may be admitted at the centre's discretion but will not receive extra time. A candidate who arrives more than one hour after the published start time (or after the published finish time for a paper of under one hour) is a "very late arrival": the centre may refuse admission, and if the candidate is admitted the centre must report the late arrival to the awarding body, which may decline to accept the work. Neither outcome gives rise to a refund.
- Mobile phones, smartwatches, earphones and any other unauthorised items must not be in the candidate's possession in the examination room. Breach of JCQ regulations, including possession of such items or any other malpractice, is reported by the centre to the awarding body, which may disqualify the candidate from the paper, the subject or the whole series. We have no influence over that process and no refund is due.
- The partner centre may remove a candidate who is disruptive, abusive or in breach of its rules, and may refuse future entry. We may decline future bookings from a candidate or booker who abuses our staff or the centre's staff.
- Supervision of candidates outside the examination room, including before and after papers, is the partner centre's responsibility under its own policies, as described in our Safeguarding Policy.
10. Results, Certificates and Post-Results Services
- Results are released by the awarding bodies on their published dates and are made available to you through us or the partner centre on or after that date. We cannot release results early or discuss them with anyone other than you (or, for a candidate under 18, the parent or guardian who booked).
- Certificates are produced by the awarding body and sent to the partner centre, usually two to three months after results day. We will tell you when they are available for collection or arrange postage at the cost quoted. Under JCQ regulations the centre must keep unclaimed certificates for at least 12 months from issue, after which they are destroyed confidentially; thereafter only a certified statement of results can be obtained from the awarding body, for its fee.
- Clerical re-checks, reviews of marking, access to scripts and appeals are provided by the awarding body within short, fixed deadlines after results day. JCQ requires your written consent before a review of marking is requested, because a mark or grade can go down as well as up, and we will ask you to confirm this in writing. Awarding body fees are payable in advance and refunded by the awarding body only where it changes the grade; our handling fee is not refundable.
- We are not responsible for an awarding body's or partner centre's marking, grading, results or certificate errors, but we will raise any such issue with them on your behalf as quickly as the process allows.
11. Cancellations and Refunds
All cancellations, deferrals, missed papers, medical circumstances and refunds are dealt with under our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Because we place your entry and pay the awarding body immediately after payment, you expressly request that we begin performing the service at once, and the statutory cancellation period does not give a right to a refund once an entry has been placed.
12. Communications and Your Responsibilities
- Email to the address on your booking is our official channel. You must keep your email address, telephone number and postal address up to date, check your inbox and spam folder regularly, and respond to our requests for documents or decisions by the dates we give; deadlines missed because a message was not read are your responsibility.
- For a candidate under 18 we communicate with the parent or guardian who booked, and any direct contact with the candidate is through channels the parent or guardian can see.
- You must not use our service for any unlawful purpose, submit false documents or information, or attempt to enter a candidate under another person's identity. We report suspected identity or document fraud to the awarding body and, where appropriate, the authorities, and cancel the booking without refund.
13. Personal Data
We process the candidate's personal data, including identification documents and any medical or access-arrangement evidence, solely to arrange and administer the examination entry. That necessarily involves sharing it with the partner centre and the awarding body, which process it under their own policies and JCQ requirements. Full details, including retention periods and your rights, are in our Privacy Policy.
14. Our Liability
- We will perform our service with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to do so — for example by not submitting an entry you have paid for in time — our liability is limited to re-performing the service where possible or refunding the fee you paid us for the affected entry.
- We are not liable for the acts, omissions or decisions of any awarding body or partner centre, including timetable changes, venue changes, cancellations, invigilation, marking, grading, results, certificates, malpractice decisions or access-arrangement decisions, beyond raising the matter with them on your behalf.
- We are not liable for loss of a university or college place, employment, income, tuition fees, travel or accommodation costs, or any other indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any booking shall not exceed the fees paid to us for that booking.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
15. Events Beyond Our Control
If an examination is cancelled, postponed, relocated or disrupted by events outside our reasonable control — including action by an awarding body or government, industrial action, severe weather, transport failure, fire, flood, epidemic, or the closure or withdrawal of a partner centre — we will do what we reasonably can to place you in an alternative sitting or series, and the awarding body's contingency arrangements will apply. We are not liable for loss arising from such events, and refunds in those circumstances are limited to any amount the awarding body or centre returns to us for your entry.
16. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email info@londoneliteexams.co.uk (or write to London Elite Exams, Office 2070, 60 Tottenham Court Road, Fitzrovia, London, W1T 2EW) with the booking reference and a description of the problem. We acknowledge complaints within 3 working days and aim to give a full written response within 15 working days. Complaints about the conduct of an examination, invigilation, marking or grading must be raised through the awarding body's or partner centre's own complaints and appeals procedures, which have fixed time limits; we will tell you which applies and help you use it. If you remain dissatisfied after our final response, you may be able to refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution provider or to the courts.
17. Website and Intellectual Property
The content of londoneliteexams.co.uk — text, guides, handbooks, images and design — belongs to London Elite Exams or its licensors and may be used for your personal, non-commercial reference only. Exam timetables, fees and deadlines shown on the site are drawn from the awarding bodies' published information and updated regularly, but the awarding body's own publication is definitive; always check the date and time on your Statement of Entry.
18. General
- We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you make a booking applies to that booking; later changes apply to later bookings.
- These Terms, the documents they incorporate and your booking confirmation are the entire agreement between you and us for that booking and supersede any earlier discussion or correspondence.
- If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder continues in full effect. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
- You may not transfer a booking to another candidate. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another provider only where that does not reduce your rights.
- These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any right you have as a consumer to bring proceedings where you live.
