1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how London Elite Exams Limited, trading as London Elite Exams ("we", "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies — including browser local storage and session storage — on londoneliteexams.co.uk. It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device so it can recognise your browser on later requests. Local storage and session storage are browser features that do the same job without being sent to the server on every request. This policy covers all of them.

3. How your choices work on this site

  • On your first visit a small banner offers Accept all, Reject and Preferences. Analytics are active by default. Choosing Reject switches them off at once, removes their cookies and keeps them off on later visits.
  • Your choice is saved on your device (lee_cookie_consent) for 12 months, after which the banner is shown again.
  • You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings in the page footer or the button at the top of this page.
  • Rejecting never restricts booking, paying, logging in or any other part of the service.

4. Strictly necessary (always on)

These make the site work and keep your account and booking secure. They cannot be switched off. None of them is used for tracking or advertising.

5. Analytics & performance (on by default — you can reject)

Unless you choose Reject (or switch analytics off under Preferences) we load Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google Analytics 4. It tells us, in aggregate, which pages are read, where visitors arrive from and where they give up — for example whether the booking form is confusing on a particular step. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses, and we never see who an individual visitor is.

Should we add another analytics or advertising tool in future, it will sit in this same category, it will be switched off by the sameReject choice, and this table will be updated first.

Our own visit counter. Separately, our server counts page views for our own statistics. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device. Visitors are counted with a one-way code that changes every day, is never linked to your identity and is discarded after the day ends; your IP address is not stored.

6. Third parties and international transfers

Analytics data is processed by Google LLC (Google Ireland Limited for the UK and EEA) and may be transferred to the United States under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Google's standard contractual clauses. Google's own policies apply to its processing: policies.google.com/privacy and how Google uses data from partner sites. Essential cookies are set by our own website and are not shared with anyone.

7. Payment, maps and embedded content

Bank-transfer payment uses no third-party cookies. If card payment is enabled in future, the payment provider's own strictly necessary fraud-prevention cookies will be set only on its checkout page and described here first. Links to Google Maps open in a new tab on Google's site; we do not embed maps or videos that set cookies on our pages.

8. Managing cookies in your browser

Besides our settings panel, every browser lets you block or delete cookies: see the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you signing in or completing a booking.

9. Changes to this policy

We review this policy whenever we add or remove a tool, and at least once a year. The "Last reviewed" date at the top shows the current version.
